About the Role

Luxury Recruit is partnering with a leading and innovative fashion brand based in New York to identify an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and corporate development of the business. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and senior management to ensure financial stability, profitability, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
    • Provide insights and guidance to support executive decision-making.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business strategy.
    • Analyze financial performance to identify growth opportunities and cost efficiencies.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, including quarterly and annual statements.
    • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and audits.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
    • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support business operations and investments.
    • Implement financial controls to optimize financial performance.
  • Investor Relations & Fundraising
    • Serve as the primary liaison for investors and financial stakeholders.
    • Lead capital-raising efforts to support the company’s expansion and strategic initiatives.
  • Risk Management & Internal Controls
    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Partnerships
    • Lead financial due diligence, analysis, and integration efforts for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
    • Evaluate market opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for expansion.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
    • Ensure alignment between the finance function and overall business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior role (preferably in the apparel or fashion industry).
  • Expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong experience in cash flow management, investor relations, and capital structure management.
  • Mergers and acquisitions experience, including financial due diligence and integration.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic decision-making, and negotiation skills.
