We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** **The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for supporting the implementation of, and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. She/he is responsible for coordination, support, and completion of project assessments, project advancements, parameter settings, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics' initiatives including but not limited to provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Meaningful Use, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. The clinical informaticist will participate in the company-wide community of Informatics by working with the Director of Clinical Informatics and facility peers to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility. In this role you will:** + **Implement and support corporate and division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives.** + **Develop, execute, and support the education plan, tools and resources focused on the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives. This includes training and onboarding of new providers and staff.** + **Support technology implementations that support clinician workflow.** + **Resolve complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or health system service resources.** + **Continuously monitor various EHR utilization trends.** **What qualifications you will need:** + Registered Nurse + Associate Degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. + Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting + Minimum 1 year of experience in Clinical/Healthcare Informatics, clinical application support, or equivalent preferred + Meditech/Epic experience strongly preferred + Must have previous experience leading projects and implementation of supportive technology Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: + Understands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc. + Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types. + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing. + Demonstrated customer orientation. + Excellent leadership and teaching abilities. + Demonstrated advanced computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and data analysis experience). + An understanding, enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of the project. + Leadership skills to direct others and maintain a common vision for project objectives. + Must be a motivator. + The ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the practice, as well as with vendors and other outside agents. Must have an interdisciplinary focus. + Effective organizational skills. + Problem solving and analytical skills. + The ability to delegate tasks and enlist the cooperation and/or assistance of team members and others.
