Director of Technology & Automation

At Systato, we help businesses scale by combining smart systems, human talent, and thoughtful automation. We're looking for a Director of Technology & Automation to lead the charge in building scalable, AI-powered solutions that support our clients’ growth and operational excellence.

This is not just a strategy role. We’re looking for someone who can design, build, and lead from the front. You’ll manage a globally distributed development team, work hands-on in the codebase, and guide automation across customer experience, back office, and real estate processes.

What You’ll Do

Lead Global Development Projects

• Manage and mentor a high-performing team of developers across time zones.

• Own the delivery of internal and client-facing software solutions from scope to deployment.

Architect Automation Systems

• Design automation for real estate, customer experience, and business operations.

• Use platforms like OpenAI API, Zapier, Make, and RPA tools like Selenium and Puppeteer.

Get in the Code

• Actively contribute to architecture and development using Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and related backend frameworks.

• Build and maintain orchestration engines or AI agents, especially for CX and Finance functions.

Integrate Systems

• Lead integrations between CRMs (like HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday.com) and other core systems.

• Connect disjointed workflows using APIs, middleware, and custom connectors.

Automate / Integrate / Delegate

• Apply Systato’s signature A/I/D framework to help teams scale.

• Evaluate workflows and create automation or offshore delegation opportunities.

Be a Technical Consultant to Clients

• Work directly with clients to uncover inefficiencies, build solutions, and drive automation strategy.

• Serve as a trusted partner in digital transformation and operational design.

Document and Enable

• Create clear documentation, SOPs, and training to ensure scalability and team knowledge sharing.

You Might Be a Fit If You Have:

• 4+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role

• Proven experience building and deploying automation for CX, customer support, or finance functions, OR building orchestration engines

• Hands-on experience with AI, RPA, or automation technologies

• Strong command of backend development: Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS

• Familiarity with Zapier, Make, OpenAI, and CRM integrations

• Experience working directly with clients to identify and solve operational challenges

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and comfort in fast-paced, remote environments
