Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized **Specialist in Escrow and Trust Accounting** to join our team. This role is responsible for managing daily and monthly reconciliations, processing disbursements, supporting audit activities, and ensuring compliance with escheatment regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform daily reconciliations of AIS escrow accounts by matching receipts and disbursements in CORE with bank activity and RYNOH reports.
+ Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in collaboration with AIS companies.
+ Complete and submit month-end reconciliations, including top sheets, exception reports, trial balances, bank statements, and outstanding item reports.
+ Generate and review monthly outstanding check reports to identify escheatable items.
+ Prepare and distribute weekly trial balance reports.
+ Process fee disbursements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using the CORE system and coordinate with wire desks for timely wire transfers.
+ Assist with internal and external audit preparations and support special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Prior experience in accounting or financial reconciliation preferred.
+ Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
+ Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
+ Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
+ Reconcile the AIS escrow accounts daily matching receipts and disbursements posted in CORE with the daily bank activity and RYNOH reconciliations.
+ Work with the AIS companies to resolve reconciling exceptions.
+ Complete the month end reconciliations for approval. Prepare the ending top sheet, exception reports, trial balance, bank statement and outstanding items reports and confirm the reconciliation is in balance.
+ Prepare outstanding check reports on a monthly basis for review on escheatable items
+ Prepare trial balance reporting weekly
+ Process Fee Disbursements on a daily, weekly, monthly basis working with the CORE system and wire desks to process the wires
+ Assist with audit preparation and projects as assigned.
