Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and strategic Head of Design Operations to lead our Procurement team and oversee the operational aspects of our design department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, coupled with a keen understanding of business operations and the ability to build and optimize processes to drive efficiency and productivity. As the Head of Design-Ops, you will ensure that our design workflows are streamlined and aligned with broader business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute new processes, build the team, and lead our Procurement team to success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize the efficiency of the design department, including resource allocation, project management, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, establish timelines, and allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Hire, lead and mentor a team of Procurement Specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth and ensure high-quality output.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members to ensure they are meeting expectations and continuously improving.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to supplement internal resources and meet project deadlines.
  • Act as a liaison between the design team and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on project priorities and objectives.
  • Be aware of industry trends and best practices in design and operations, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must have experience in the short term rental space.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a strong background in business operations and project management.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering impactful design solutions within a business context.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and optimize workflows.
  • Proficiency in design software/tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
