Title: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Description: In this position of I&C Engineer within the Protection & Controls Applications group, the position will be responsible for the following: - Provide short-circuit analysis, breaker-duty study results, and protection requirements to interconnect a customer-owned facility to a company-owned transmission system - Create and update short-circuit model using customer-provided facility data using Computer-Aided Protection Engineering (CAPE) software - Specify protection schemes and relays at company-owned facilities and the point of interconnection, and review schemes based on transmission stability requirements - Effectively communicate study results and protection requirements to interconnection customers and internal partners - Actively engage in meetings with other organizations to provide technical expertise to customers and peer partners Additional Skills & Qualifications: BS within Electrical Engineering (or related field of studies) -Any experience within school from a protection and control background -Understanding or some involvement with Relay settings, studies, and/or interconnection reads -Coursework within Power Studies or related subjects to Utilities/ Transmission would be considered a plus Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
