Job Responsibilities:

• Expectations: Ministerial Intern will perform assignments under the direction of the supervising pastor of [Miami Springs SDA]. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Meet weekly with Supervising Pastor
  • Find prospects for and give Bible studies.
  • Visit active and inactive members, prospective members, and hospitalized members.
  • Plan, conduct, and/or participate in evangelistic outreach activities.
  • Preach for regular church service or for youth services.
  • Attend church board and other church administrative committee meetings.
  • Plan worship services.
  • Plan, organize, and participate in youth ministry activities.
  • Provide a working automobile and maintain current primary automobile insurance.
• Supervising Pastor will:
  • Be available in the district at least 75 percent of the time, during which Ministerial Intern is involved in the summer internship.
  • Serve as the individual directly responsible for supervising the Ministerial Intern.
  • Meet with Ministerial Intern on at least a weekly basis.
  • Approve record of Ministerial Intern’s time worked on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Provide a final written assessment of Ministerial Intern’s performance to the Ministerial Director of the [Florida Conference] and the dean of the Southern Adventist University School of Religion.
