THE COMPANY
 
Our client is a private, single-family office based in Henderson, NV managing a diverse portfolio of investments across private equity, private credit, real estate, as well as additional businesses, including a philanthropic foundation and other asset classes. With a lean, collaborative team, they prioritize flexibility, strategic investment execution, and operational excellence to maximize short and long-term value for the Group.
 
THE POSITION
 
Job Overview
As our client’s small family office evolves, they are seeking an Investment and Portfolio Analyst to work alongside their Controller. This role will require a blend of investment analysis, transaction execution, compliance and operational duties, making it an ideal opportunity for an up-and-coming rounded professional who enjoys both high-level financial analysis and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation analysis for potential investments across private equity, real estate and other asset classes including cash flow projections, investment return models, cap rate analysis, and financing structures.
  • Support due diligence efforts, ongoing market research and investment recommendations.
  • Monitor a diverse portfolio performance, conduct risk assessments and investment structuring.
  • Identify and evaluate new private equity investment opportunities, assist on financial and legal due diligence, prepare data rooms, and manage internal and external teams during deal cycles.
  • Work closely with legal and financial advisors (wealth managers and fund managers) on compliance, tax planning, and financial audits related to investment holdings.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to streamline investment operations, reporting, tax management and back-office functions.
  • Ensure compliance across multiple entities, including the private family foundation, and improve internal policies and procedures to expand operational efficiency.
  • Handle ad hoc projects related to asset management and office operations.
  • Be open to generalist tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of the office.

THE CANDIDATE
 
Candidate Qualifications and Skills

  • +2 to 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and/or family office investment preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, cash flow projections, investment analysis, real estate analysis, financial analysis, asset allocation.
  • Understands private market transactions, hedge funds, deal structuring, accounting and portfolio monitoring.
  • Willingness to be hands-on with both investment and operational responsibilities.
  • Able to read legal contracts and conduct due diligence.
  • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a lean environment.
  • Strong communication and people skills and the ability to collaborate closely with other team members.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Collaborative, reliable, positive, energetic and highly driven.
  • Self-starter with good multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Financial Services, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or similar is highly preferred.

Workspace/Hours

  • The office is located in Henderson, NV.
  • Full-Time Hours – Monday to Friday.
  • Hybrid work with the very occasional requirement for weekend work and/or work during unusual hours.
