Job Description

Salary: $115,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, particularly with Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle R12 and its associated technologies.
• Strong capabilities in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Oracle tools such as RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and SQL Developer.
• Comprehensive understanding of performance tuning techniques and tools.
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve complex database issues.
• Availability for on-call support and occasional after-hours work to carry out system maintenance or upgrades.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; sponsorship is not available for this position.

• I will install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications along with Oracle Database environments.
• I will undertake routine Oracle DBA duties, including patching, cloning, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• I will monitor and optimize Oracle databases for peak performance, employing best practices for database configuration and upkeep.
• I will manage database storage, backup strategies, recovery methods, and disaster recovery plans.
• I will implement and oversee Oracle Data Guard to ensure high availability and replication.
• I will analyze and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to enhance application performance.
• I will utilize Oracle performance tuning tools to oversee and improve database efficiency.
• I will establish and enforce database security policies, which include user roles, permissions, and access controls.
• I will conduct regular security audits and apply security patches for both databases and applications.
• I will plan and execute upgrades and patches for Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database, which includes testing and validation of new versions.
• I will coordinate application downtime with stakeholders to reduce business impact during upgrades.
• I will collaborate with the application team to address database-related development challenges.
• I will generate regular reports on database performance, security incidents, and overall system health.
• I will work closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers, network administrators, and IT support, to ensure seamless application and database operations.
• I will participate in project teams for new application implementations or system enhancements.
• I will implement monitoring solutions to proactively track database and application performance, resource usage, and error logs.
