Job Description

Description The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for managing patient records and ensuring that all documentation is accurate, updated, and securely maintained in compliance with healthcare regulations. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks will play a critical role in delivering excellent administrative support to healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: + Organize, maintain, and retrieve patient medical records in physical and electronic formats. + Review and verify medical documentation for completeness and accuracy. + Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, by safeguarding sensitive information. + Respond promptly to requests for medical records from authorized personnel and physicians. + File patient charts, diagnostic reports, and other records in the proper order. + Manage and update electronic health record (EHR) systems and troubleshoot minor technical issues. + Perform basic clerical tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and data entry. Requirements + Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical records or related administrative role. + Education: High school diploma or equivalent. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel). + Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a confidential, professional environment. + Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and medical terminology is preferred.
