Reports To: General Manager

Salary: $60000 - $65000 / year

Job Summary

This is a superb opportunity for a Hospitality professional to take your career to new heights. We are seeking an engaged, communicative, passionate "people-person" to join our team as People & Talent Recruitment Coordinator. This role provides a tremendous opportunity to gain hands on experience and familiarity with NEW evolved leading People Systems, programs, project management and people strategy. The Talent Support Coordinator will provide critical pre and post hire administrative & operational support - serving as the first point of contact for all employees seeking opportunities with Occasions Catering (Restaurant Associates). You're truly the face of our dynamic team, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. A critical support partner to operations leadership, you'll take ownership of hiring, onboarding, training, and administrative support processes in support of the "people process" efforts. 

 

 

Essential function, duties & responsibilities:

Develop & lead day to day People tactical support, programs and compliance where necessary- which may include and not inclusive of: People Hub inquiries and maintenance, hourly recruitment & job fairs, new hire welcome meetings, orientation, training programs/guides, Compass HR Service Center inquiries, training such as CHAT, employee engagement survey, and reporting for legal compliance.

 

Our People & Talent Coordinator assists with internal & external communication efforts. They reespond to inquires from management, associates, co-workers - directs or handles as needed. Explains HR polices, procedures, practices, and programs. Keeps R/A Corporate People Services Team up-to-date of all pertinent related matters as appropriate. Attends Catering events and assists teams on site as needed. May assist in other duties as needed and required.

 

Please note this is an onsite position supporting a 7-day operation, with working weekends as necessitated by business needs. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Hospitality background preferred - you've been in a guest facing role and you understand the importance of first impressions! Recruiting/staffing agency experience is a plus but not a must.
  • You're a quick study on HR functions, systems, and "best practices" - demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly and with an eye always on the details! 
  • Experience with key HR tools and software, another plus
  • Must work effectively with diverse individuals in the R/A & Compass organizations, across all levels. 
  • You're a clear communicator - you're emotionally intelligent, engaging, energetic, and professional
  • Ability to retain confidential company data and only communicate to those who need to know. 
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, analytical skills, understands how to move projects along for success. 
  • You're dedicated to high standards and excellence

 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 1-3 years experience in HR. SPHR/HR certifications and professional involvement with SHRM is helpful.
  • Ability to:
    • read, analyze, & interpret common technical journals, financials and HR reports and legal documents. 
    • write presentations, articulate and present (example, Lead New hire orientation), work with in reasonable mathematical concepts that allow for HR data flow and interpretations
    • operate computer and MS applications – has Previous HR Software experience. (SAP preferred) 
  • Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw appropriate conclusions that are fact based.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
