$129.48 hr. is for the Houston, TX location
Job Type: 12-Month Contract
Per Diem: Offered for candidates residing more than 50 miles from the job site

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Greenville, SC. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in a wide range of I&C design tasks supporting engineering and construction projects. This is a full-time, onsite role offering competitive compensation and per diem for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diverse I&C design engineering activities including:
  • Control systems architecture.
  • PLC/DCS development and configuration.
  • Digital systems, HMI, and network design.
  • Logic development and communication protocols.
  • Instrumentation specifications and procurement support.
  • P&ID support and review.
  • SIL analysis and system evaluations.
• Interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes/standards for design and construction documentation.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, system descriptions, and specifications.
• Provide engineering cost and schedule estimates.
• Support project startup and commissioning.
• Utilize computer-aided drafting software for design support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering or similar accredited discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in I&C design engineering (nuclear experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of applicable Federal (DOE Orders), State, and Local electrical design codes and standards
• Proficiency with computer-aided design tools
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred, but not required
