Join our client's team as a Senior Software Engineer - Workday! This is a new full-time opportunity for one of our clients in Denver, Colorado. The client is a local government agency who is looking for a proactive individual to enhance business processes by analyzing requirements, collaborating with teams, and implementing effective systems solutions.

Duration: Full time

This position maintains ERP systems by designing, developing, unit testing and debugging different components of the system-Reports/interfaces/workflows in Workday/Cloud applications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL: 

• Partner and work collaboratively with client business stakeholders to gain an understanding of business requirements, translate those requirements into solution recommendations, and implement functionality to meet objectives in workday system.
• Provide daily operational support for production systems including providing on-call support.
• Responds to requests for reports containing HR/Payroll data from across the organization in an accurate and timely manner.
• Designs/develops new integrations needed in and out of workday. Manage integration support issues across the data flows, upstream/ downstream Workday through to resolution.
• Works with user groups to understand and resolve the issues in Workday for new and existing processes, reports, and domains by reviewing Workday Community or utilizing workday resource center.
• Follow SDLC methodology to develop document, gather business approvals, test and implement any system enhancements in the production environment. Follow change management process for migration.
• Conducts program tests by developing test plans and performing or overseeing testing to verify that the programs function correctly and that modifications have not caused errors.
• Reviews and analyzes programs to gain understanding of the implementation of the underlying business functions, develops work plans and cost estimates and analyzes alternative approaches; advises users on the feasibility of a cost-effective conversion to web based systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred. Bachelors degree at minimum required.
• A minimum of five years of experience in Workday with preference for Human Capital Management, Payroll, Finance.
• A minimum of three years of experience in Workday Reporting, Integrations, Business process.
• Experience with Workday integration tools i.e., Custom Reports, EIB, Studio.
• Ability to analyze data logically, defining, evaluating, and solving difficult technical and operational problems where solutions may be of a precedent-establishing nature.
• A minimum of five years of experience in SQL, and PL/SQL writing for database driven applications and report writing. 
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
• Ability to use sound judgment.
• Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.
