Our portfolio is meticulously curated, with offerings that often command a higher price point than other commercial wines due to the quality and craftsmanship behind each bottle. We're seeking passionate individuals to join our sales team, where you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our presence across the bottle shops, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, and fine dining sector.

Job description:
The Wine Service Associate position is a part-time weekend opportunity. The position will focus on representing Cellar Beast Winehouse at our Winery and Tasting Room. Skills in customer education, table service / bar service, and a professional service based demeanor with guests is central to the position. The main focus is to provide education of our wines, while confidently engaging with customers, make recommendations and encourage sales, in a professional and friendly way. Organization and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment is necessary for this position. Wine industry or professional service industry experience (excluding fast food) is required. We are willing to provide right candidate with wine specific education and training.

Essential Duties (including, but not limited to):
Report to the Tasting Room Manager
Follow opening and closing procedures
Effectively operate POS system (Square)
Follow protocols for all inventory procedures
Participate in all retail + tasting room business functions, including serving, busing, food/wine prep, greeting, register, bar, etc.
Participate in organization and cleaning of the Winery - both indoors and out
Adhere to all House Policies, PLCB regulations, and CDC guidelines
Ability to move cases of wine (+40 lbs)
Perform other service related duties as assigned

Expectations:
Ability to work most weekends and some holidays
Maintain a friendly, courteous, and engaging demeanor with both customers and staff
Maintain and display professional attire & image
Ability to work under pressure and multitask while sustaining a positive and friendly attitude
Highly motivated and team-oriented
Maintain knowledge of the wine portfolio, perform tastings, and be able to make recommendations to customers (willing to train).
Follow and uphold all Winery policies
Attend education sessions
Submit in a timely fashion, monthly work availability to Tasting Room Manager

Education and Experience:
Must be at least 21 years old
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in hospitality, customer service, sales, food & beverage, or events is required

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 40lbs
Ability to stand and work at a bar / event table for long periods
Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Starting rate of $14.00 hr with an increase upon completing L1 Sommelier Certification
