Work you'll do - Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents including software and systems and IT engineering, system and IT operations, testing, and user documentation - Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software to include installation and configuration - Create code documentation for software - Produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities - Provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consult with technical personnel and other available resources - Possess understanding of software development (SDLC), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) - Interact with government personnel and senior executives on technical considerations The team Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) practice - our people, ideas, technology, and outcomes-is designed for impact. The Application Modernization and Innovation offering is comprised of experienced professionals who help guide clients through their most complex technology challenges. This can include the delivery of large-scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) & other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Application Modernization and Innovation offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business. We provide operational value, modernized mission solutions, and enhanced technology innovation. Qualifications Required: + Bachelor's degree required. + Ability to be onsite 100% of the time in one of the locations listed: Washington, DC; Reston VA; Colorado Springs CO; Tampa FL; Huntsville AL; St. Louis MO + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. + Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required. + Proven experience at least 5+ years as a technical writer The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $163,000.
