Job Description

We are looking for an experienced construction superintendent who can lead subcontractors. You'll help our construction company plan and manage projects from start to finish for homeowners. Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintaining the safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervising all activities. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of construction field experience with leadership skills in managing subcontractors, highly preferred. • Confirm that every construction project produces a high-quality finished product, supervise construction workers, execute regular on-site inspections, and provide feedback as needed
• Hire subcontractors and verify that they have all the required permits
• Analyze subcontractor productivity toward timelines and performance goals to ensure that the project is on schedule to be finished on budget and to the highest possible quality
• Maintain a daily record of project progress and updates for the company
• Negotiate prices and meet with subcontractors to obtain estimates
• Interpret plans and designs to workers to make sure the project is completed according to plans

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles
• Must have a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office software
• Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills
