Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team, where you will room patients, take and document vital signs, perform accurate charting, assessments, interventions, and follow-ups within your scope of practice. You will collaborate effectively with Medical Providers regarding phone messages, pharmacy refills, and ancillary test results. Additionally, you will maintain current knowledge of all clinical procedures and equipment maintenance, uphold optimum patient confidentiality and safety, and adhere to infection control and universal precautions. Responsibilities + Room patients and document vital signs accurately. + Perform charting, assessments, interventions, and follow-ups per scope of practice. + Collaborate with Medical Providers on phone messages, pharmacy refills, and ancillary test results. + Maintain knowledge of clinical procedures and equipment maintenance, including vision, audiometry, and lab testing. + Ensure patient confidentiality and safety. + Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and use personal protective equipment as needed. + Perform additional duties as requested by management within the scope of knowledge and ability. Essential Skills + Pediatric experience: minimum 1 year required. + MA certification required. + Active CPR certificate required. + Knowledge of vaccines. + Ability to excel in interpersonal communication and customer service. + Proficient problem-solving skills. + Effective written and verbal communication. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred 2+ years pediatric clinic experience. + LVN license preferred. + BLS AHA certification. + Must love working with children. + Able to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Work Environment This position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule in a busy office environment located in Huntington Beach. You will work alongside a team of providers, each seeing 22-24 patients per day, supported by 3 back-office staff and 4 front-office staff. The practice has a long history with patients, some of whom have grown up with the practice from infancy to 18 years old. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term commitment, contributing positively to the healthcare of children and their families. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
