The Palmetto Club in Columbia, SC is looking for one receptionist to join our strong team. We are located on 1231 Sumter Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable.
Description:
The Front Desk Receptionist greets guests and helps direct them to the appropriate area of the building. Provide exemplary customer service. Assist guests with special requests. Answer multi-line phone, take reservations, manage cash and credit card transactions. Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule and Conditions:
Full Time/Regular schedule will be: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 2:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday 4:00pm-9:00pm, and every other Sunday from 10:30am-1:30pm. Open availability preferred as these times may fluctuate due to events. We are a team that works well with each other and we are looking for one person to join us that is willing to be as flexible as we are to ensure the whole team is happy.
Materials and Equipment used:
Computers, Multiline Phones, Copier, and point of sale systems. Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Representing this place of business in a professional manner when responding to questions and concerns of the guests
-Working with staff to offer excellent experiences for the guests
-Providing the highest standards of customer service
-Charging parking fees using POS
-Answering questions for guests about parking, hours of operation, etc.
- Manage cash and credit card transactions
- Administrative duties at the front desk
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 18 years or older. High school diploma required, with prior experience in guest services, education, or restaurant operations or an equivalent combination of relevant prior work experience and education. Must enjoy working with people, have a pleasant personality, good interpersonal skills, able to handle themselves in a professional matter when dealing with stressful situations, and always have a professional appearance. Must have a commitment to diversity, work as a team player, and good judgment in daily activities.
